People will often ask me where I get my supplements, food, workout gear etc from. I have a few discount codes for some of my favourite companies, and am generously supported in one way or another by some others. Then there are the companies, brands and products which I just straight-up love, without discount codes or freebies! I thought I’d start a blog series telling you about these “favourite things” – and extending the discount code to you where one exists. I’ll eventually gather all these “favourite things” posts on one page.
A few of my favourite things: the fish & seafood edition
I just love fresh seafood and fish. I think it would probably be my “what food group could you not live without”.
So, hooray for Regal Fish Supplies who do an amazing job of delivering the most gorgeous fish and seafood to your door all the way from their HQ in Grimsby. I love so many things about this company.
1) The products. Their fish is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. If it wasn’t so weird to take photos of raw salmon and haddock, I’d show you what I’ve got here from them at the moment (instead you’ll have to make do with these pics, which are from their website). Regal’s fish is fresh, plump, healthy and just mmmm! There’s pretty much everything you could want available: white fish, oily fish, frozen, fresh, smoked, dressed fish and seafood, ready-prepared stuff. I tend to go for the (massive!) King prawns (immense), cod (meaty), haddock (delish) and salmon (like butter) but I’ve had all sorts from Regal in the past. All of it 10/10.
2) The customer service. Helpful, friendly and personable. They get that I’m a bodybuilder, understand why fish is important to my diet and are always really interested in what I’ve been up to when they ring up. I’ll be honest, I never bother to make a list of what I want, because I know it’s quicker and easier to have the person on the end of the phone help me. So, I just tell them what I want and they very quickly tell me exactly what’s in stock that meets my needs, and the most cost-effective version to buy.
3) The drivers. Ah, the Regal delivery drivers. So friendly and lovely, always smiley! A truly great service. They’ve got 1,000 delivery rounds so chances are they do deliver to your area, but best to check online first.
They’ll deliver at a time to suit you, even in the evening (making the Regal service a handy option whether you work at home or not). The website has a ton of recipes on it if you’re ever stuck for inspiration.
Regal were in luck that day last year when they knocked on my door by chance and asked to introduce the service. I couldn’t order fast enough. And then, when I realised how great the fish was and how lovely the company are, I couldn’t wait for the next delivery to my area. Since then, my freezer has always had at least one thing from Regal in it.
